Skijor stage race slated for February 9 – 11, 2007

The Alaska Skijor and Pulk Association will host the 2007 Race Across the Valley skijor race on February 9-11, 2007. The three stage race will feature long- and short-course options. Long-course competitors will race an average of eight miles per day drawing up to three dogs per day from a maximum five dog pool. Short-course competitors will race an average of four miles per day drawing up to two dogs per day from a maximum three dog pool. Skijorers not wishing to compete in all three stages may compete in individual stages as day racers. Entry fees are $10 per day for non-ASPA members and Race Day entrants or $25 for all three stages if preregistered by 5:00 p.m. the previous day. The fees increase to $15 per day for Race Day registration.
