Cool temperatures and a hard and fast trail made for fast times around the Tozier Track in Anchorage. Jennifer Payne completed the 4.5 mile 4-dog race in a winning time of 29:52 over the two days, with Rex Jones finishing just 1 second behind with a time of 29:53. Christian Taveau won the 6-dog event in a two day time of 42:46 over the 6.7 mile course. Dori Hollingsworth followed in second with a time of 43:21 and Stacey Lanser finished third with a time of 43:30.Nathan Sterling finished first in the 8-dog class (50:12) with Dori Hollingsworth finished second (51:09) and Beverly Stevens finishing third in a time of 51:28.The open class was won by Arleigh Reynolds in a two day time of 104:00. Reynolds ran 16 dogs on day 1 and 13 on day 2. Egil Ellis finished second in a time of 105:55, with 18 dogs on the first day and 16 on day 2.
