Rondy welcomes Jeff King, legendary distance musher, to the Rondy World Championship Sled Dog Races, as a Rookie.Jeff King, celebrity musher and author, often referred to as “Winningest Musher in the World”, has confirmed that he will be running the World Championship Sled Dog Races for the first time. As a champion of multiple distance and stage races, Mr. King is eager to test his skills in the sprint discipline of sled dog racing- “Running the Rondy has long been a goal of mine and will be a welcome challenge giving me the ultimate experience in sprint racing. I am beyond excited and am shopping for spandex!” Blayne “Buddy” Streeper, multiple champion of sprint races and reigning three time champion of The Rondy World Championship Sled Dog Races says, “The Fur Rondy is the ultimate dog race. To run through the streets of Anchorage, in such a history filled race, with thousands of cheering fans- I get goose bumps thinking of the event. I welcome Mr. King to The Rondy, and look forward to having him race a Streeper Kennels team for his inaugural race.” Streeper continues, “This year I have the opportunity to become the only musher in history to win four consecutive Rondy titles.”The Rondy World Championship Sled Dog Races are produced in partnership between Greater Anchorage Inc and the Alaskan Sled Dog & Racing Association.
