Fish Creek: Door County’s Newest, Furriest Nonprofit

Door County is home to hundreds of nonprofits, including one that is for the dogs.The Door County Sled Dogs was started by retired Milwaukee Public School teachers turned mushers Bonnie Ulrich and Richard Desotelle of Fish Creek about 10 years ago after they received their first husky, Eddie. Ulrich and Desotelle enjoyed Eddie so much that they adopted a second sled dog. The couple soon found themselves with 11 rambunctious and hardworking rescue dogs (nine are purebred Siberian huskies, two Alaskan huskies and one collie/husky mix): Buddy, Boo Boo, Bob, Cool Dog, Beautiful, LB, George, Mushka, Hoochie, Jellie-Mae and their newest addition, Happy.Read more here: http://www.doorcountyadvocate.com/article/20130109/ADV01/301090295/Fish-Creek-Door-County-s-newest-furriest-nonprofit
