Ellis bounces back

Egil Ellis bounces back after a less than favorable showing this season. With a Giardia bug running through his kennel and taking its toll, Ellis has been able to work through the problems and win the Tok Race of Champions. In the 8-dog class Helen Lundberg, Egil’s wife, won in fine style showing that the entire kennel was back. This dynamic duo has been working successfully to dominate the open class, and 8 and 10-dog classes throughout Alaska. Living in Wllow, Alaska, the pair run a relatively small kennel of around 80 dogs. Over the weekend, Egil used Ruby and Brownie in lead, while Helen used Linda and Peavey. Egil was down by around 26 seconds on day 1 at Tok, and ended up winning by 5 seconds overall on Sunday.
