One Race I Dream of Racing Is...

The Kobuk 400. Everyone who runs it says it is such a fun event and all of the communities are involved.

One Place I Dream of Mushing Is...

Run one of the races overseas. I have only run races in Alaska and the Lower 48, not even in Canada.

My Biggest Pet Peeve Is...

People who don’t have an open mind about working with their dogs.

One This I Can't Without Is...

The Internet, is such a good resource! I mean I could live without it but I don’t really want to.

The Greatest Advice I Ever Got Was...

Do something that you are passionate about.

The Sled I'm Running Most Right Now Is...

Our tour sled. I have always built sleds but now after having a kid, I am considering buying a sled for the first time.

My Biggest Blunder Was...

I have lost a team before in a race and they just kept going.

I Learned...

Try not to repeat the same mistakes twice.

The Hardest Part About Doing My Dream Mushing Trip Is...

Just putting everything together.

My Best Advice For Young Mushers Is...

Have a mentor. Start with a clear goal about what you want to get out of mushing and have a path to get there. For example, if you want to run pure-breed dogs, start with purebreed. If you want to run Iditarod, start with good dogs.

Happiness Is...

A full bag of dog food and a kennel full of hapy dogs.

My Most Challenging Race/Expedition Was...

Probably the Iditarod. It is such a long event there will always be challenges.

What Scares Me The Most Is...

Having a snow machine encounter on the trail.

My Favorite Trail Meal Is...

My mom’s oatmeal molasses cookies.

The True Gift Of Mushing Is...

The time you get to spend with your animals.

One Thing I Will Never Do Again Is...

Not have dogs!
