We are sitting down with Alyssa and Rohn Buser in the home at tour company, Susitna Sled Dog Adventures at the foothills of the Talkeetna Mountains in Alaska on a beautiful spring day and doing what we all love, talking dogs. Alyssa shares some of her favoirte stories about running dogs here and in the Lower 48.
I do dream of doing the Iditarod Trail someday. Maybe like the Serum Run or something like that.
I think it would be really fun to run dogs in Norway.
When people don’t house train their dogs.

Always believe in yourself and always follow your dreams.
The sled that Rohn built. I like it because it is idiot-proof–it’s easy to steer, lightweight, and easy to control.
I was at the Eagle Cap Extreme and was going out with a friend on a training run before the race and I did not have a drag mat. The dogs took a right instead of a left and I was drug for like a half of a mile down the road. It tore my clothes, bruised ribs, a bloody nose and everything!
Always be prepared for anything!

The Eagle Cap Extreme. It was the 100-miler and I did not have the training miles on my dogs.
My biggest anxiety is having something happen to the dogs–them getting injured or something.
Beef Jerky or homemade peanut butter cups with oats in them.
Spending time in the wilderness with your dogs.
Have a 9 to 5 job ever again!
