Yukon Quest Winner Allen Moore Donates Northwestel Prize To Women’s Shelter

As part of the Yukon Quest’s 30th anniversary, Northwestel pledged $1,000 to the Yukon charity of the winner’s choice. Quest winner Allen Moore chose to donate this prize to Kaushee’s Place women’s shelter. The Alaskan musher offered the $1,000 prize to the shelter after winning the 1,000 mile race.Moore, who finished the race in eight days, 19 hours and 39 minutes, chose Kaushee’s because he wanted to help people who were in need of assistance at the local level.Read more here: http://www.nwtel.ca/media-room/current-press-releases/2013/yukon-quest-winner-allen-moore-donates-northwestel-prize
