Val Gagné – The Northern Ontario Sled Dog Club is happy to report that the Val Gagné Dog Race is now a go!Thanks to the title sponsor “Northern Tel” as well as a little cooperation from the weather, planning of the popular Dog Races are able to resume. The Race Committee is happy to report that the race will be held on February 10th and 11th at the Val Gagné Multi Sports Hall. The event is expected to draw top teams from Ontario, Québec and even the US. With the recent cold front and snow fall, the committee is excited to be able to be back on track with the planning of this 18th annual event. Dog lovers in the region should mark their calendars, as spectators and volunteers are always welcome to the race site. Bring your own dogs on Saturday for the very popular Kid and Mutt race. This is a family event not to be missed. “Our new date will work out better”, says race organizer André Aumont. “Hopefully we will be racing on a perfect mid-February weekend with longer light hours. Nice time to take your sweetheart for a short drive to Val Gagné for the Valentine weekend.”For further information:Claude Aumont(705) 724-3095 or André Aumont(705) 232-6873www.nosdc.comJanuary 17, 2007
