NorDev Group is delighted to announce that the 2007 Bell IdidaRace will be held March 3 – 4, 2007. This will be the 4th Annual Race, with Bell as the Title Sponsor. This years’ event will see the Prize Purse increase to $5,000.The Bell IdidaRace has become one of Elliot Lake’s favorite family events, which is expected to attract over 1,000 enthusiastic spectators. With its added attractions, great food and world-class sled dog racing, this is the premier winter event in Elliot Lake.In response to feedback from racers, the course has been moved. The start line will remain at Spine Beach as in past years; however, the new layout will eliminate the entire course of previous years and move it away from the lake. The new course offers a much wider racing surface with less dramatic inclines and turns and will make grooming from edge to edge much easier. Event Coordinator, Scot Reinhardt says “We’ve listened to feedback from our racers and have rerouted our course so that some of the steep hills and tight corners are gone so that grooming will create a hard pack surface across the entire trail.
