Sled Dog Race This Weekend – Stanley Dog Rendevzous

It’s dog sled racing time. As the Iditarod heats up in Alaska, local Idahoans can head up to the Third Annual Stanley Dog Rendevzous this weekend from March 10-12. The race will feature three mushing categories and one skijoring class. The mushing classes consist of 20, 40 and 60 miles. The miles are divided equally on Saturday and Sunday.Racing starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday. Spectators can talk to the mushers and see the dogs between 8 a.m. -2 p.m. Spectators are encouraged to come early so they can see the dogs start and finish in downtown Stanley.Read more here: http://www.mtexpress.com/vu_breaking_story.php?bid=98092
