Larry Daugherty has wanted to race a dog sled in the deep snow of the Arctic since he was 10.So the Mayo Clinic oncology doctor, now 37, filled that desire with mountain climbing and other wintertime sports until he chanced upon a tiny ad from European cold-weather gear maker Fjällräven.Now the Jacksonville Beach father of five has won a contest that puts him at the helm of a team of huskies April 9-13, trekking across the Arctic tundra between Signaldalen, Norway, and Jukkasjärvi, Swedish Lapland.
