First Day of Minto Races in the Book

Fairbanks’ Jennifer Probert won the Minto Spring Carnival’s women’s sled dog race Thursday with a time of 33 minutes, 44 seconds.The race, which is 9.5 miles long, was ran in its entirety Thursday, while the men’s race, a 14-mile course, is completed in two days.Behind Probert, Chestochena’s Evelyn Beeter finished second in 35:18. Emily Frank from Minto finished third in 42:07, and Emily Entrikia from Fairbanks and Alanna Gibson of Minto rounded out the racers, finishing in 43:01 and 47:35, respectively.Read more here: http://newsminer.com/view/full_story/18162766/article-First-day-of-Minto-race-in-the-books?instance=home_sports_bullets
