Sixth-graders at Edwardsville’s Liberty Middle School participated in their own Iditarod dog sled race Friday, with teams of students taking the place of the dogs. Members of the Raiders team take off pulling a wheeled sled in their own version of the famous race, which they have been studying in class. Teams left one minute apart, pulling a wheeled sled of their own selection, and encountered obstacles such as blizzards, made by other students spraying them with silly string, or moose in their paths to slow them down, again created by more students.Read more here: http://www.thetelegraph.com/news/photos-68086-sixth-doggin.html
