Canadian Teams Take First and Second Places in IPSSSDR Day Three

Grant Beck, from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada, had the fastest time in day three of the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race, completing the 33-mile stage in 2:09:56. Sam Perrino, also of Yellowknife, was second with a time of 2:12:25. Wendy Davis of Lander, Wyoming was third with 2:14:57.In overall times, Davis leads with 8:38:03; Beck is second with 9:08:41; and Perrino is third with 9:11:44.Teams departed from the Elk Ridge Lodge/Upper Green River parking lot outside of Cora, Wyoming, today, traveling to Pinedale. On Tuesday, January 30, teams will depart from Marbleton/Big Piney. The race then will travel to Alpine on January 31; Kemmerer/Diamondville, February 1; and Evanston/Mountain View, February 2, before arriving in Park City, Utah, for the final stage and awards ceremony on February 3.
