Martin Buser arrived first at the finish line of the Kuskokwim 300 at 2:22.09 on January 21. Jeff King followed closely, arriving at 2:30.51 to take second place. Buser’s son, Rohn, placed 4th with the B-team. Jon Little placed 3rd, followed by Rohn Buser, Ed Iten and Hugh Neff making the top 6 placers.Buser is back in form after finishing 23rd in the 2006 Iditarod. He has proven that he is ready to take on the big guns again in the Big Race. Buser replaces King on the throne after King has been the King Of the Kuskokwim eight times.Buser last won the K300 thirteen years ago, claiming his second Iditarod win later that same year.
