Policy on the Ethical Use of AI at Mushing®
In today’s world, business tools are changing rapidly. Artificial Intelligence (AI) or generative AI, is everywhere and it is our position that we will use tools where it helps us create a much better experience for our readers and our listeners. We will NEVER use AI to write articles for us, produce pictures or read our transcripts for our podcast.
But we will use tools for idea generation, podcast show notes, and research. One of the best cases for our work today is we use a tool called, Readwise. We are uploading all of our archives and using the Readwise and accompanying AI to allow use and the world, a vast database of, pretty much, the written history of mushing since 1960.
Purpose:
This policy outlines our commitment to the ethical, responsible, and transparent use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in our outdoor magazine operations, ensuring trust with our audience, integrity in content, and respect for privacy.
