Garmin has cemented its position at the top of the heap for two-way, global satellite messaging devices and services. The previous version of the inReach Mini earned our top honor, and the latest version makes notable, albeit minor, improvements. Since the debut of the inReach Mini 2, Garmin has also released another new device, the inReach Messenger. This newest model is even better, but the Mini 2 is still a contender. These two top Garmins are basically tied, with the other edging ever so slightly ahead for most use cases.

It’s easy and fun to use. We picked this up at the Overland Expo last summer in Bend, Oregon, and tested it over the winter. We got the reusable filters, but also ordered size one paper filters to use. The grinder does a great job.Makes a great cup of coffee

The Ultimate Musher Companion?
The Garmin DESCENT™ Mk3 series offers expansive activities and workouts and for dog mushing specifically you can add an activity right from the watch and then track specifics like route, speed, distance, temperature, elevation and more.
