Dawson City: Ellis arrives in record time

Dan Kaduce has landed in Dawson City with the fastest time so far between here and Fortymile River. The 38-year-old veteran from Chatanika, AK, ran the trail in just over 7hrs, 12minsCompared to yesterday, when temperatures were about 10 degrees warmer and the trail was soft and punchy, today’s 20-below temperatures offered a slicker trail.Cor Guimond was leaving Fortymile just as Ellis was pulling into Dawson; the average time over the 48 miles (77 kilometres) between Fortymile and Dawson City is approximately 9 hours.
