A day before their up to 517-kilometre journey was set to begin, the canine participants of this year’s 15th Annual Canadian Challenge Sled Dog Race from Prince Albert to La Ronge got the go-ahead from veterinarians, Monday.The team of two veterinarians and one veterinary student will spend the next few days along the track checking on sled dogs at various check stops to make sure they’re doing well.
