Congratulations to Amy Cooper of Wisconsin, and Ed Clifford of New Hampshire who traveled a long way to compete in this event. Amy and Ed competed in the Bikejor competition with one dog pulling and sometimes running alongside their mountain bikes. Ed actually finished in 2nd place in his senior division. Ironically it snowed for the dryland events, and parts of the course had to be swept and sanded. Look for an exclusive account of their trip and racing in Italy in the next issue of Mushing Magazine. Mushing Magazine helped defer some of the cost of the trip for the U.S. participants by sponsoring their racing jerseys.
