Ashley Thaemert, the 18-year-old Forest Lake sled dog enthusiast profiled by The Lowdown in March (see http://tinyurl.com/o75356z) moved to Pagosa Springs, Colo. with her seven malamutes this summer to train them for work on Colorado tourist excursions. She also hopes to race them in 50- to 100-mile competitions.
