Fighting off sick feelings of déjà vu, Tok musher Hugh Neff grabbed the lead of the Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race on Sunday as a pair of teams left Carmacks to settle matters in the final stretch before the Whitehorse finish.Beside Neff’s name atop the leader board, though, was an asterisk, noting that the veteran musher would be assessed a 30-minute penalty because an ax was missing from his sled.
