Rudi Roperts of Borken, Germany is a veteran of open class and mid-distance sled dog racing in Europe and in Alaska. He has won pretty much all there is to win in Europe including the Pirena stage race, and Euro-open class championships. I have known Rudi since 1995, and am always impressed with his well-behaved, and top conditioned team. Rudi is a fun-loving guy, always enjoying life, but a serious racer. I think his dogs have the same traits. Rudi will race the open-class in Alaska this year. Best of luck Rudi. G.S. He ran in every important race in lead (from 2002 – 2006). We bought him as a 10 month old and taught him to run in lead. She is out of Diatz and a 100% German shorthair bitch (Mine, from Egil Ellis). She has been my main leader for the last 4 years and has run every race including the ONAC, Rondy and ADMA Gold Run and was the leader in the WC and EC 2007.Bibi 4 yrs old Female 48 lbsBibi is a littermate of Bonnie. She has been my main leader for 2 years. Bibi has run in my team since 2004 and never missed a race. We bred her to Clyde, and hope her puppies will be as good as she is. Bea 4 yrs old Female 48 lbsBea is also a littermate of Bibi and Bonie. She can run in lead, but most of the times she runs in swing. We have some young dogs from her and Clyde who are now yearlings. Bea has run in every race since 2004.Lance 4 yrs old Male 55 lbsLance was the leader when I won the 10-dog-class at the Gold Run. I use Lance mostly as a wheel dog because he is such a hard working dog. He is a very good stud dog as well. My first offspring from Lance is now 2 years old and has run and won already in the WC and EC last yearClyde 4 yrs old Male 55 lbsClyde is long-legged guy is also a son of Diatz. He runs very well as a wheel dog. I used him last year as a stud dog for the first time and his offspring seem to be great runners as well. Clyde has run in every race since he was old enough. He has never had any problems and he ran in wheel at the EC and WC 2007. He was also in the winning Gold Run Team.Rani 7 yrs old Female 44 lbsRani has run as a team dog, and she also runs in lead, and because of her performance we bred her twice with Lance. Every puppy we have in our kennel has leader potential. They are all impressive young dogs. She is a daughter of Diatz (littermate of Ronja and Roxy). She has run every race since 2002. These include the races in Alaska as well as each EC and Pirena we ran. She was also in the winning team of this year’s EC and WC.Roxy 7 yrs old Female 33 lbsRoxy is a little bit smaller than her littermates Ronja and Rani. She is an honest and good team dog. She is inconspicuous and has run every race since 2002 including the races in Alaska and each EC and WC. She runs as a wheel dog or team dog, and even at her young age she has already run in the WC 2007. Fee has ambitions to run in lead as well.Flori 2 yrs old Female 48 lbsAs with her littermate Fee, Flori also runs as a team dog. She is a very hard working dog and has never had any problems so far. She was also a part of the winning team in the 2007 WC.Finbeck 2 yrs old Male 55 lbsFinbeck 2 year old male, 55lb. Finbeck runs as a wheel dog. He is a very hard working dog and is a littermate of Fee, Flori and Funny. In his two years he has run in the WC 2007.
