Streeper takes sled dog race victory

Blayne “Buddy” Streeper didn’t win either heat but his team was fast enough both days to capture the overall victory in the weekend’s Alaska Excursion 120, a sled-dog that ended Sunday after the second of two 43-mile heats. Streeper was second each day to finished with a two-day total time of 5 hours, 58 minutes, 59 seconds.
