Streeper Crowned Dog Derby Champ

The 59th running of the Diavik 150 Canadian Championship Dog Derby is in the books, and for Yellowknife mushing greats the Becks, it was definitely a family affair. “We’ve been doing it for years,” said third-place finisher Richard Beck.”My brother’s son was racing this weekend. It’s his first time, and he did a good job. Every time I saw him on the road he was calm and cool and just letting the dogs run instead of driving them.
