Sass and Berington Top Gin Gin 200 Field

In a race where deep snow brought mushers to a crawl and prompted almost half of the field to scratch, Brent Sass and Kristy Berington were crowned champions of the Gin Gin 200, a mid-distance sled dog race in the Paxson area that features separate divisions for men and women. Sass claimed the overall victory just before midnight Thursday, arriving at the finish line at Paxson Lodge at 11:45 p.m. He recorded a time of one day, 12 hours, 51 minutes.Read more here: http://www.adn.com/2011/12/30/2239812/sass-berington-top-gin-gin-200.html#storylink=cpy
