Russian Musher Claims Red Lantern in 2012 Yukon Quest

Michael Telpin crossed the finish line of the Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race Sunday evening and picked up one of dog mushing’s well-known honors — the red lantern.Telpin, of Chukotka, Russia, was the 19th and final musher to cross the finish line in Whitehorse, bringing to a close this year’s running of the 1,000-mile race.
