No Kennel Cough Shot? No Race.

For the first time, Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race officials are requiring all dogs in the race to be vaccinated for kennel cough.Symptoms of the bug, a highly infectious upper respiratory infection, include a dry honking cough, gagging and retching. In serious cases, the illness can lead to pneumonia and is similar to whooping cough in humans.Read more here: http://community.adn.com/?q=adn/node/159946
