New stamp honors Alaska statehood

The U.S. Postal Service showed the public the new Alaska statehood stamp Wednesday. The photo on the stamp is by long time official Iditarod and Alaska photographer Jeff Schultz, and shows popular Willow, Alaska dog musher DeeDee Jonrowe with her team mushing under the Alaska Range. The stamp will be issued on Jan. 2, 2009, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the state, according to the U.S. Postal Service.
