CNN has reported two m ore pet food recalls since the wheat gluten contamination recall. Pet owners have been taking more notice of their food’s ingredients, but, two more quality foods have been included – Royal Canin and Natural balance, but this time the ingredient is a rice protein. The foods were found to contain a melamine derivative, a chemical toxic to animals.The recalls are voluntary, and while pets may not have died, the rice has been found to contain the toxin.
