With a few course adjustments to account for variable snow conditions, the first Gichigami Express Sled Dog Race is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Sunday near Grand Portage.The three-day stage race will travel to the Gunflint Trail the first day, down to Devil Track Lake the second and back to Mineral Center, near Grand Portage, for the final leg Tuesday.
