Meet Ayla: Our Modern-Day Togo

TogoRun has a winner, and her name is Ayla.If you recall, in March we wrote about a contest for Alaskans about what makes your dog outstanding. The essay contest was sponsored by TogoRun, a New York-based health and wellness communications agency that took the name of the famed sled dog Togo, who played an integral part in the 1925 serum run to Nome that brought medicine to combat a growing diphtheria epidemic.Almost a month and many essays later, TogoRun is harnessing up the Alaska husky Ayla as the best dog in Fairbanks that embodies the spirit of Togo.Read more here: http://www.newsminer.com/features/sundays/alaska_life/meet-ayla-our-modern-day-togo/article_d88a7462-a4d8-11e2-89bd-001a4bcf6878.html
