McMurrayites Prepare For Yukon Quest

Two McMurrayites will be heading up north in the next few weeks to compete in one of the world’s most difficult winter sports events, the Yukon Quest 1,000 Mile International Sled Dog Race.The two mushers representing Fort McMurray are Christina Traverse and Randy MacKenzie.Both will be competing in the longest race of their careers when they tackle the Yukon Quest, which kicks off Feb. 2 2013.The race features between 15-30 competitors and runs from Whitehorse, Yukon to Fairbanks, Alaska.Read more here: http://www.fortmcmurraytoday.com/2012/12/27/mcmurrayites-prepare-for-yukon-quest
