Linda Fenton Selected as 2013 Iditarod Teacher on the Trail

As third-grade teacher Linda Fenton packed box after box on Wednesday, the last day of school at Waupaca Learning Center, there was one box she kept close at hand.The box and a three-ring binder contain all of the information she’s collected on the Iditarod sled dog race, held each year in Alaska. She’ll need it this summer.Fenton, 54, a teacher in the Waupaca School District for the last 13 years, has been selected as the 2013 Iditarod Teacher on the Trail, the 15th person to receive the honor since the program’s inception in 1998.Read more here: http://www.postcrescent.com/article/20120603/APC04/306030026/Waupaca-teacher-s-passion-Iditarod-gives-her-assignment-lifetime
