A soft trail, blustery temperatures around 10 degrees and blowing snow made for some interesting racing on the opening day of the Limited North American Championship sled dog races Friday at the Jeff Studdert Racegrounds.Kourosh Partow, Kati Dagenais and Christian Taveau took the first-day lead in their respective sled classes, while Greg Jurek bolted into the lead in the skijor class.With temperatures expected to be cooler the next two days, the trail, is expected to become faster and faster into the weekend.
