Laura Daugerau 2-for-2 On The Dog Sled Season

Laura Daugereau kept her perfect season going this weekend.The dog sled racer from Port Gamble won the Eagle Cap Extreme race in Joseph, Ore., on Friday.The 200-mile race was shortened to 150 miles because rain was causing the trails to deteriorate. She said it was the right call for the safety of the dogs and the racers.In 2008, Daugereau became the first woman from Washington to compete in the Iditarod Sled Dog Trail Race. She finished 64th. She returned in 2009, but was forced to pull out before the end of the race.In December, she won the Rodeo Run Sled Dog Races in West Yellowstone, Mont. Up next is the Race to the Sky in Montana on Feb. 8-13. She finished second in that race last year.
