Kobuk 440 Gears Up for 2014 Race

With frost on the ground and snow in the forecast, organizers of the Kobuk 440 Sled Dog Race are already planning for the 2014 competition.Board members got together last week for the race’s first official meeting, said board chair Liz Moore.”Our goal this year is to have another $50,000 purse,” Moore said.And like years past, mushers will be encouraged to take advantage of early sign-up deadlines to save some money and help organizers better prepare.Read more here: http://www.thearcticsounder.com/article/1340kobuk_440_gears_up_for_2014_race
