International Dog Sled Race Begins In Karelia

On January 20, the international middle-distance sled dog race On the Land of Sampo will start in Karelia. Famous Russian and international racers will run the distance face-to-face with the severe nature of Karelia with the help of their four-legged friends: Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes and other breeds of dogs to show their skill, endurance, teamwork and speed.The event is organized by the Ministry of the Republic of Karelia of Youth Affairs, Physical Training, Sports and Tourism, Administration of the Pryazha Municipal District, and Scythians Tour Ltd.Read more here: http://www.russkiymir.ru/russkiymir/en/news/ruregions/news0309.html
