Interior Alaska Sled-Dog Trip That Went Horribly Awry Leaves Raft of Bad Feelings

Anyone with a grain of compassion has to feel some sympathy for sometime Fairbanks sled-dog guides Peggy Billingsley and Darrel Harpham, who have been taking a public thrashing since Billingsley and a client were rescued last week from the White Mountains National Recreation Area just south of the Arctic Circle. “Mushing Mess: Rescue in White Mountains raises questions about “guided” mushing trip” headlined the local newspaper over a story about the efforts of Alaska State Troopers to save Billingsley and a woman described as a client.Read more here: http://www.alaskadispatch.com/article/interior-sled-dog-trip-went-horribly-awry-leaves-raft-bad-feelings
