Green Light For Sled Dog Race Weekend

Organizers say the snow at Deer Mountain/Chuck Best Memorial Snowmobile Park on the north side of Mt. Shasta looked ready for mushing last week.More than 40 mushers from throughout the Pacific Northwest are expected to converge there Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 9 and 10, for the 2013 Siskiyou Snow Dog Races.The event is free of charge for spectators and parking is free.
