WHITEFISH – More than 300 canine competitors are expected to line up for the fifth annual Flathead Sled Dog Days race this weekend near Olney.The event gets under way Friday at noon with a vet check at Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish. The public is invited to visit the dogs in the parking lot and ask mushers questions as the dog teams receive physicals from sled dog veterinarians.
