Dryland sled dog races will be held this weekend at Adventure Unlimited Ranches, 18325 CR 366, north of Buena Vista. Sponsored by Colorado Mountain Mushers, the races begin at 8:30 a.m. and last until approximately 11:30 a.m. on both Nov. 10 and 11. Sometimes called Urban Mushing, events include canicross – a harnessed dog pulling a runner; bikejor – one or two harnessed dogs pulling a bike rider; scooter – a mountain scooter with rider pulled by one or two harnessed dogs; and small cart – a small team of 3 or 4 dogs pulling a non-motorized cart with driver.
