It all began with a dream.On Saturday, March 17 some were celebrating the luck of the Irish, Haliburton’s own Hank DeBruin was celebrating the completion of the Iditarod, a 1,000 mile dogsled race across Alaska.Starting in Anchorage and ending in Nome, the race includes teams of 12 to 16 dogs, who complete the trek anywhere between 10 to 17 days.
