Langlade County, northeast of Wausau, is holding sled dog races on Saturday and next Sunday, Jan. 13. The Culver’s Trailblazer Challenge is sanctioned by the International Sled Dog Racing Association and managed by the Wisconsin Trailblazers Dog Sled Club. It is a qualifying event for the 2013 International Federation of Sled Dog Sports World Championships in Alaska in March.Racing begins at 10 a.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday, with the starting line at Culver’s, 2105 Neva Road, in Antigo. Races will include three route lengths and sled teams of three, four, six and 10 dogs.
