Cim Smyth wins Klondike 300

Cim Smyth held off Ken Anderson to win the Klondike 300, finishing just 4 minutes ahead of Anderson. Both drivers finished with 13 dogs.With 14 mushers scratching, the field narrowed to nine teams. Matt Hyashida placed third in front of Sigrid Ekran, Rick Casillo and Michelle Phillips. Less than two and a half hours separated the top 6 teams.Smyth takes home $8000 of the $20,000 purse.
