Back of pack into Dawson

Bob McAlpin surprised checkpoint volunteers and officials early this morning when he arrived in Dawson at 3:28 am. All four of the back of the pack mushers had left Scroggie Creek to travel together yesterday morning. Bob was the last to leave. Based on run times of previous mushers, officials anticipated the pack arriving into Dawson City late morning Friday. Bob surprised everyone by running straight through, with a run time only Kleedehn and Mackey bested between Scroggie Creek and Dawson. Bob had been mushing in the last position.Kyla Boivan arrived at 7:55 am this morning with a great looking dog team. Kyla reported that while she has been sick, her dogs are happy and healthy.
