Fairbanks musher Ken Anderson pulled into Ambler at 1:37 p.m. Friday, leading the season-ending Kobuk 440 sled dog race.Not far behind was a racer little known to mushing fans. But some of Cynthia Barrand’s 12 dogs have plenty of star power.A 35-year-old handler for Iditarod champion and record holder John Baker, Barrand is driving many of the dogs from the championship group that took Baker to Nome in record time.
