Aiyana Ferraro of Victor Wins Race To The Sky Junior Sled Dog Race!

Aiyana Ferraro of Victor and Roy Etnire, a millwright from Seeley Lake, won the two 100-mile dog sled races from Lincoln to Seeley Lake in the 2013 Race to the Sky.Ferraro, 15, crossed the line at the Seeley Lake Community Center at 6:09 a.m. Monday to claim her first victory in four tries in the Junior 100. Two-time defending champion Jenny Greger, 17, of Livingston, the only other entrant, finished at 6:32 a.m.Etnire, 57, led a field of four teams in the Adult 100, finishing at 8:19 a.m. Jason Campeau of Okotoks, Alberta, was second at 8:32 a.m., while Steve Riggs of Olney crossed at 8:48 a.m.The races started Sunday afternoon in Lincoln and included mandatory six-hour layovers at the White Tail Ranch near Ovando.Read more here: http://www.ravallirepublic.com/news/local/article_8fe1f992-74a9-11e2-a88a-001a4bcf887a.html
