2009 Fur Rondy World Championship Sled Dog Race Coverage

Well, another historic race is in the books. This year’s Rondy was one of the most exciting in recent memory. Many stories and plenty of drama unfolded during the 3 day 75 plus mile event: Bill Kornmuller and Arleigh Reynolds have sent notice that they are no longer the best of the “rest of the pack.” Buddy Streeper re-asserted his recent dominance in this event with a come from behind victory on the last day of the event. Egil Ellis, down on dogs from the start of the race, proved that a small team of hard workers can still do well. more images to come soon…Look for a full story and more images in the May/June issue of Mushing Magazine.
